What Revap keeps, and what leaves it
Revap is a portfolio project. It keeps what it needs to run your sets and your history, and nothing for ads or tracking.
What Revap stores
- Your email and login, to know it's you.
- Your sets and their questions.
- Your sessions: the answers you gave, the time and the score, for your history.
- Your settings, and how many questions you imported (for the import limits).
- If you ask for AI access: your reason and that you said you're 18 or older. Uses of AI are counted so the allowance works (AI import pieces for good, grading for 90 days).
It's kept with Supabase (database and login) and served by Vercel. There are no analytics or ad trackers. Cookies keep you logged in and remember your theme.
What stays in your browser
- PDFs and files you import are read in your browser and never uploaded. Only the questions you save reach Revap.
- Questions from an AI run you haven't saved yet, so a closed tab doesn't lose them, until you save or discard them.
- Small things that make the next visit easier: your last review settings per set, where you are in a PDF and its piece names, and a paused session.
What is sent to Anthropic
Only if you have AI access and use it. Revap uses Claude, made by Anthropic:
- AI import: the text of the PDF pieces you pick, to write questions. Not the whole file, and not your other sets. You confirm before each run.
- The questions that come back are kept with your account for about a day, so a reply lost on the way isn't paid for twice. Then only the count stays.
- AI grading, once it opens: your answer, the question and its rubric, to suggest a grade.
Anthropic doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models. Their privacy policy says what they keep and for how long.
Voice answers
Saying an answer out loud uses your browser's own speech recognition. Your browser may send the audio to its maker to turn it into text (Chrome sends it to Google). Revap only gets the text.
The revap CLI
revap runs on your computer. When you make sets from a PDF in Claude Code or another AI app, that app reads the pieces you pick under your own account with its maker, not through Revap. Only the sets you save reach Revap.
Deleting things
- Delete a session from its results page and it's gone. A deleted set is hidden from you but kept, so the results that used it still make sense.
- To delete your whole account, go to Settings → Account → Delete my account. We email you a code first. Your sets and sessions are hidden right away and deleted for good after 30 days; until then you can undo it by logging in. Your settings go back to the defaults. Counts with no content (imports, sessions started, AI pieces and grades used) and AI access you were given stay, so limits still work. Your email login stays, because it's shared with another app on the same service. We also send an email to confirm it.
- A demo guest's sets and sessions are cleared out after about 30 days.
